Sensei Abdul Trained under Shihan Tonkin in Benoni South Africa at Tonkinkan Ju-jitsu where he attained his black belt (1994). During his training he received various accolades and medals at club, regional, national and International levels, including being a member of the South African National Ju-jitsu team that Traveled and competed in the United Kingdom in 1994. In 1995 Sensei Abdul Pioneered Tikan Ju-jitsu in Zimbabwe, starting in his home town of Mutare, and then in the Capital city of Harare. He ran these two Dojo's (clubs) for 5 years till the time of his immigration to the USA in 1999. Sensei Abdul also worked with the ZRP and Security companies to develop Self-defense programs and train employees. Sensei Abdul is currently the UNJJ USA Mid-West Representative now based in Omaha Nebraska where he currently runs 5 Dojo's and is also a Fitness instructor and Photographer.
